這首Hurt是美國著名的鄉村音樂歌手Johnny Cash
翻唱工業搖滾樂團Nine Inch Nails的作品，
鄉村音樂與工業搖滾你無法想像的天與地，
但就如同Gary Jules把Tears for Fears的Mad World
翻唱出另一種完全不同的風味，
Johnny Cash也將這首Hurt給帶到了另一種境界。

說到此點就不得不稍微介紹一下Johnny Cash的生平，
依據維基百科上的資料Johnny Cash生於1932/2/26，卒於2003/9/12，
他是美國非常具有代表性的鄉村音樂創作歌手，更多次獲得葛萊美獎，
但如同許多太早成名的歌手，在他成名之後也產生了酗酒及濫用毒品的問題。

這首歌因何如此觸人心弦，
在於歌詞內容與Johnny Cash人生的最後一刻是如此的相呼應，
在他錄製這首歌的同年五月，他的妻子因心臟病過世，
而Johnny Cash本人也於同年九月糖尿病併發症離世，
